yes my son caught it twice in 3 days was very poorly and was ammitted to hospital there a nurse was not allowed near him as she caught it 7 times the last time with shingles on top hopefully he will never catch it again as he's built up a immumeity to it. but there is no limit to how many times you catch it or shingles.

You can only get chicken pox once. however the virus hibernates in your body.
the only secondary infection you can get that is related to chicken pox is shingles ( that happened to me).
either way, you can only get each of them once.

If you get it once, your body learns how to fight it, so you become immune to it. Very rarely you can have it twice due to a weak immune system, maybe when you are already ill with something else.
But generally, you only get it once.

Yes, it is possible. I've had chicken pox three times now. If it helps to know, it's effects lessen each time you have it. It is quite rare though. I've only had it three times because I have trouble acquiring antibodies from diseases making me more prone to them additional times.

Chicken pox is kinda like herpes in the sense that after you defeat the initial infection, it can occasionally come back and make you sick but these recurring flare ups are called shingles and not chicken pox and this usually doesn't occur until you are a senior citizen.

YES.
both of my children had a very mild case at the time of their chicken pox shot. BOTH have had it since with only 6-10 pox that was confirmed by the doctor.
So contrary to popular belief. The answer is YES

Yes you can absolutely have the Chicken Pox twice.. More than likely because the first time you had them they weren't considered a bad case.. maybe to you they were bad, but not bad enough to stop a second breakout

All "pox" diseases are caused by viruses. Unlike bacteria, which can be treated with antibiotics, there are no magic bullets to deal with viruses, available from the doctor. Even antivirals will not remove the virus though they would help you to overcome the infection.
Your immune system uses white blood cells to destroy viruses and it does so very effectively. Some white blood cells eat up the virus particles and other produce special proteins called antibodies which attach to the virus particle and destroy it.
The antibodies are special because they are 'tailor made' to deal with the particular virus eg. chickenpox. They will only work against it and no other. More importantly, you never lose the ability to produce a particular antibody once you have made it once. This is because other white blood cells carry a 'memory' of all the antibodies you have ever made.
Vaccines work by giving you a version of a virus which has been inactivated but which will still cause an immune response (ie. antibody production). You generate antibodies against the vaccine, and then forever carry the memory of how to make them again, in case the active version of that virus gets into you, sometime in the future. This happened to you as a baby when you received your chickenpox vaccination.
You should therefore be unable to ever get chickenpox and even if you did, you would still be far better protected than you would have been if you hadn't been vaccinated. Anyone who is unlucky enough to get chickenpox despite having been vaccinated could do so if their immune system is either faulty or compromised in some way. The only other way that you could get it, would be by the virus mutating so that the smallpox antibodies would no longer be able to recognise it as their target - but then it would be a new virus. Some viruses like colds and flu are constantly mutating - that's why they always come back.

It is conceivable that the antibodies produced after contracting a disease would not be effective in the future if the microrganism evolved sufficiently.

yes, and as an adualt they are very very dangerous, you could develop them into shingles, which are not only painful but they are also dangerous. They attack your organs. If you suspect them see a doctor immediatly
