I think a nap is good if you only sleep for about an hour or two anything longer just makes you feel sleepier. |

Initially, I used to think naps refreshes one. But later on I found that naps were the result of high carb diet.If you feel sleepy after the lunch,that means you are eating more carbs than required.So naps are good indicator of what you eat.Therfore naps can help control carb content of your diet and help avoid serious diseases like diabetes. |

if one does not work shifts...naps can combat a total night sleep for day shift people ....but if you can nap you can help your body and mind get the rest it needs with shift work .. better to nap than not ...always take care of the body |

yes i hear that sleep actually can help your skin wich is in fact an organ just like your heart or liver, that is why it is sometimes refured to as "Beuty Sleep", actually while you are sleep your mind is working to put memories and stuff in order and into diffrent memory banks it sort of defragments i guees you can say, to help you remember things. i think about a 30min to an hour is considered a healthy enough nap, anything longer may go beyond "REM" wich is full blown sleep. |

In my town (Santa Fe, Argentina) the Summer is really hot (often more than 41 degrees Celsius), so there is really no option: you start your day early (at 7AM already working at full speed) and cut for lunch and a good nap under air conditioner (usually 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM in my case). |

Yes, if you feel tired. No more than 20 minutes. More than 20" of sleep time and you'll not feel as refreshed. (You'll actually feel more tired.) Half-way through your day is a great time to recharge your brain and body. |

Yes, I think naps are very good for you. Even if it's just for 15 minutes in the afternoon. They will make you feel refreshed and you may sleep better at night because you won't be over tired. |

i heared that over history people use to sleep at day (nap) for at least an hour.
its recomended to Nap for an hour daily at least, it helps renew ur energeys.
modern socity didn't copy that habbit, and it demand 8 hours work or more, thats too bad, since if people took a nap daily then our market would be more broductive. |

* Don't take naps
This will ensure you are tired at bedtime. If you just can't make it through the day without a nap, sleep less than one hour, before 3 pm. |

Yes naps are good for u. The nap should be around 2:00 and about 30 mins. It depens how old u are(the question about the helping u live longer). |

I bet they are. How else can you survive office meetings? Lets you balance work and rest hours in home and in office. |

A nap longer than 30 minutes does no good for you. 15-30 is perfect. And I would have to agree that the afternoon is better than morning. |
