There are really only a few things that directly cause headaches.
1.) pressure/tension in the area
2.) dehydration
3.) not getting enough of something that your body needs (manlutrition)
Of course, each of these can have several different reasons for happening.
Pressure and tension can be due to lack of sleep, allergies, common illnesses that cause your nose to be stuffed up, lack of blood flowing to the area but not out of it so well, to name a few.
Dehydration, can be caused by you not drinking enough water, but, also could be due to too much caffien in your day. Switch to a decaffinated drink, or better yet, drink water instead.
You can get headaches from not eating properly. Are you taking in less than 1,000 calories in a day? Are you on a strict diet of any sort which keeps you from eating properly? You need to eat your irons, and fibers. Many people try the "low to no carb" diets, but don't realize that many of our fibers come from corns and nuts which these diets do not allow. Not eating fibers is bad for the obviouse bowel movement, but, it also helps in your digestive process in general, breaking up the other foods you take in, so that the nutrition from them can be broken down to be used by your body.
You SHOULD see a doctor, if this has been an issue for a while, but, in the meantime drink at least a half gallon of water a day (or a gallon if you can handle it), cut your caffien down, and don't drink anything with caffien within 5 hours of bed time.
Even if you haven't experienced allergies before, don't rule it out. I didn't start feeling the effects of allergies until I was about 25 years of age, and many people don't start until much later in life. Allergy symptoms are, headache, stuffy nose, irritated eyes. If you can't close your mouth and breath through your nose comfortably, and that has been the case for a while, it's most likely allergies. Especially if you are waking up tired as well. Claritin-D 2 or 3 hours before bed time usually does the trick for me.
Hope you find your answer. |

Stress, lack of sleep, migraines, poor diet, too much alcohol, strained eyesight, etc, are the most common reasons for headaches.
It is always best to get them checked by your doctor to rule out something more serious.
Worrying about what it could be is going to make the headaches worse, so put your mind at rest, find out the cause and get them sorted!
Good luck, but I'm sure you don't need it! |

Do you wear glasses? if so they could be causing it, and if not, you may need them. Go to an eye doctor or regular doctor and ask him. |

I think you should go and check your eyes, teeth and blood pressure - might be one of them is causing the problem...veliki Mile:) |

The two things that come to mind are stress and having problems with ones vision. There are other reasons too, but these would be the 2 most common I would guess :) |

sounds like a migraine. Different foods cause migraines for example, dairy products, red wine etc.
Get an allergy test for foods at your doctor's office, and keep a diary of when you get headaches, and what you ate that day. That will narrow it down.
Stressful situations also cause headaches. Exercise relieves tension. |

I've heard that inability to spell can cause stress-induced headaches. "Wood" that answer your question?
How about:
Any type of wood might cause a headache if you're whacked on the head with it for not knowing the difference between wood (which comes from trees) and would (as in, "what would cause a headache?")
Seriously - headaches above, below and around the eyes are often caused by sinus problems that may be related to a cold or allergy. Eye strain and tension from too much computer use can also contribute to pain in the eye (and neck) area. Suggestion: turn off the computer. Get some outdoor excercise and then come in and read some books. I'd start with a dictionary. |

This could be a sinus infection. A lot of the time if you are outside a lot, or in a dusty environment- particles get caught in your sinus track, and can dry and block the passageways. This will cause a lot of tension. Your sinuses start at the end of your nose, and go up around the eyes. If you take a hot shower- and breathe in the warm water vapor, and the tension decreases, this is a sign that it is probably sinus pressure causing your problems.
I would see a doctor and ask what he recommends you do about these constant headaches. Usually tension above the eye is either a migrane or a sinus headache.
I hope you find a good solution! |

There are several items that could cause headaches:
change in seasons...ex going from summer to winter and people using the heat a lot.
allergies....I used to get migranes from eating eggs.
Eyes....have your eyes checked. It could be a situation where you just need help in the right eye, reading, etc.
Consult with your physician. There could be other causes as well, but those are the most common. Good luck. |

Something like that really needs to be checked out by your doctor. There are many, many reasons you could be experiencing pain. Migraine, High Blood Pressure, Bad Vision, Even Impending Stroke!!!
You didn't say how long you've been dealing with this thing. If it were me I'd get on down to the doctors only because I don't do pain very well.

Eye strain or vision problems.
Sinus or allergys.
Dental problems.
Stress.
Elevated blood pressure.
Brain tumor.
Apply warm moist pack to area and take an antiflamitory like asprin or motrin. If it continues, see a doctor. |

if you are getting headaches all the time, you should have your blood pressure looked at. I was and told my doctor and asked for something to help with the headaches, and he monitored my blood pressure and turned out i had high blood pressure. ahhhhh! now i take medication to regulate the blood pressure and the head aches are gone. |

You should see a doctor it could be a lot of things, but it sounds like eye strain to me. Try not using the computer so much, and sitting in the dark for a while it may help. Also you can put cucumbers on your eyelids to soothe the strain.
It could be a food allergy, or something else though, so do see a doctor. Headaches are a silly thing to you, but they can be part of something bigger.
Good luck. |
