Acne getaway 101E gets good reviews and my friend say it has helped her. You can get it off e-bay. Don't bother with the tablets just the soap and lotion. |

i know this might sound like a ad but proactive actually works i also had bad acne and it work but if you dont want to spend the money on that then you can wash your face after you feel dirty or start sweating because it cleans your pores and if you want the oxy pads work really well with the whole washing your face thing and its cheap soo i hope this helps you and your qwest to kill acne ohh and the bad part of proactive is that eventually your skin gets used to it then you have to up your dose of it but good luck |

First off, I know that acne's a pain because i fought it for years. Basically one product that is great is proactive only if you are into a routine type product. I am a procrastinator and don't stick to routines, so I would honestly suggest trying Clearasil or a face cleanser and just cleaning your face 2-3 a day. I always wanted fast results, but if you can do that, in a few weeks you'll see a difference. Like they always say, patience is a virtue. Good luck, and stay strong. |

I have spots i wouldnt say its really acne i did have it when i was at school but i dont think i do now and i tried lots of things from the chemist and nothing seemed to work i then decided to go to the doctors he gave me antibiotics i cant remember what they was called now anyway i kept taking them for 6 months and cause they wasnt working the doctor transffered me to a dermatologist then i went to the hospital to see a dermatologist and they prescribed me cream and that never worked. They then came to the conclusion of me having these tablets what would make me really ill like have aching legs and sore eyes and the list went on i also would have to have a blood test every week i was then in my last year at school doing my GCSE'S at the time so it wasnt really a option so i said no.I have tried most products now and nothing seems to work they have cleared up a lot now though i just have a bit of scarring i just hope that goes in time but i do get a lot of lumpy spots now i cant really say i get spots as much i get lumpy spots i get them mainly on my neck and i also get some on my face i must admit it doesnt do my confidence much good and i always feel embarrased and think what people will think of me .I have started drinking lots of water and fruit salads and am seeing if that makes any difference.I did a while ago go for a facial and spoke to the specialist and she said buy things with tea tree oil in and she told me to warm a cloth up and put it over my face for a couple of mins to open my pours she then said to use a face scrub and then get that off and then leave a moisturiser on.It started going ok but then my face started feeling very dry and then my spots started getting worser than better but apparently its supposed to get worse then it gets better but i was in pain when it started getting worse so i decided to ditch that idea and then use bio oil i found this works a bit and it did start working at first but then i found it didnt after a bit.I know its hard for me to say but i would just leave things how they are and wait for them to go on there own and eat lots of fruit daily and drink lots of water.By the way you can email me if you want and chat about our experiences and if you feel low or anything dont hesitate in emailing me. |

Please dont use exfoliating scrubs-it spreads infection AND makes acne worse. The best advice is to seek help from your doctor as acne can be cased by hormonal imbalances as well as underlying illnesses such as thyroid disease.Sometimes all you need is a course of Erythrmycin (an antibiotic) or a lotion such as Roacutaine to help you get better.
If your doctor allows also get some good skincare.I would recommend a gentle range such as SK-II (Try the Cleansing Oil, Facial Clear Lotion,Facial Treatment essence and Refining Treatment)Avoid products with alcohol and scrubs they are very irritating. |

dont over do it with washing your face.. i used to use acne products and none of them worked.. so i just bought a natural bar soap, i dont even think its a facial soap and my acne cleared up.. i still get a pimple or 2 every now and then, but nothing like i used to have.. but i used to use the toner and lotion and cleansers, but i think they are designed to keep your problem around so that you will keep buying acne products.. just use soap and water! good luck! |

The best thing to do would be to go to your GP and get it treated properly. |

Niacin, it's a B vitamin that flushes your blood stream of toxins. Take it with food I warn you, but the results in about a week will be worth the wait. |

it completely depends on the severity and type of acne; cystic comedonal etc. but a start is the doctors they can prescibe things that are often cheaper and more effective then over the counter products. you may be prescibed topical solutions or antibiotics or both it depends.
also if your acne is severe enough or has been persistent and not cleared with the less harsh alternatives then your doctor may give you a dermatologist refferal where you can try the more powerful alterntives. roaccutane has been said to be very effective and powerful but has a lot of side effects.powerful drugs must be taken under medical supervision and so if you qualify the doctors will be able to give you the refferal.
if your acne is troubling you then i would definately let the doctors guide you!
good luck |

All of the items you mention can be helpful. First level prescribing in general practice would be a degreaser with peroxide such as Panoxyl. Lowest strength first and always read the instructions. |

I've found that proactive has helped me a lot over the past few months, although another great product that works good is called PCA SKIN. PCA SKIN has almost completely healed my acne I use proactive now just to keep acne away. The PCA skin products are a little pricey but if your trying to get rid of acne they definitely will help. I hope you find what you are looking for, good luck. |

The best thing i can recommend is to buy proactive. It really works for me...my pimples cleared after a little more than a week after i first used it. It comes with a cleanser, toner, lotion and mask. Definitely try it! Just remember not to over apply... |

I swear by Proactive. I have really bad skin. It was so bad that I thought that I would have acne for life. I decided one day to try to Proactive and since I started using it I have had the clearest of clear skin. I highly recommend trying it. |

The thing that works best for me is to pop each pimple in a little way and then put an antibiotic ointment on it...
It kills the bacteria obviously and if you have skin similar to me then you'll wake up with jus a little scab that you could jus wipe away with a wet towel....
Try it... |

What I would suggest is if you have very oily skin is to wash your face everyday when you wake up, and before you go to sleep. Do not wash your face abrasivly just light enough to get the dirt and oil off of your face.
Another thing is drink plenty of water too. |

I had a major problem with acne, and it just continues to get worse and worse just treating it by myself. I decided to go to a skin doctor and it did wonders for my skin. Try getting professional help. |

I might not be able to help but you can! washing your face all the time with those cleaners can actually make your skin WORSE, they dry out your skin and take away your face's natural oil that helps fight acne.
Just try a gentle washer
good luck |

This depends on how bad your acne is.
Be careful not to dry out your face too much. Many acne medications tend to do that.
Try Cetaphil (brand) for a cleanser. It is very mild.
If you want try a mild toner like witch hazel.
Use a 10% benzoyl peroxide cream.
Use a moisturizer for combination skin.
You also may want to try limiting sugar intake and supplementing with omega 3s. This will help eliminate inflammation in the body.
If this doesn't work go to a dermatologist. Just be wary of taking antibiotics long term. They can cause your teeth to turn yellow and make you resistant to future antibiotic treatments that you might need. |
